Within Nammo’s portfolio, the Small and Medium Caliber Ammunition (SMCA) Business Unit holds a central position, delivering premium technology and products to governmental customers and selected industrial partners worldwide. As the current EVP transitions to a new role, Nammo is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Vice President SMCA to lead this global business unit into its next phase of growth and innovation.

The Role
As EVP SMCA, you will hold overall strategic and operational responsibility for one of Nammo’s largest and most complex Business Units, with production facilities in Finland, Sweden, Spain, USA, and Norway. You will take overall leadership of a high-performing international organization, driving results in a demanding and strategically important market. Your role will be to ensure operational excellence, supply chain robustness, and continued development of Nammo’s advanced engineering and production capabilities.

You will strengthen organizational capabilities, standardize key processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Externally, you will represent SMCA in strategic partnerships, industry collaborations, and long-term customer agreements.

The Candidate
We seek a seasoned leader with a strong operational mindset and strategic depth. You combine broad leadership experience from complex, international organizations with a strong ability to translate strategy into measurable results. A background from large-scale production environments will be advantageous. Experience from the ammunition industry will be considered a clear asset, providing valuable understanding of the market, technology, and operational context in which Nammo operates.

You are recognized for your ability to inspire, engage, and develop people. With integrity, empathy, and analytical strength, you build trust and deliver results in demanding contexts. Professional experience and leadership achievements weigh more heavily than formal education, though a master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field will be preferred.
