Are you passionate about education and leadership, and eager to play a key role in the continued development of an international school in Bodø? Bodø International School (BOINT) is now seeking a clear, strategic, and unifying Principal / Managing Director to lead the school into its next phase of development.
Bodø International School has been in operation since autumn 2025 and has already established itself as an important educational offering for both international and locally rooted families in the region. The school currently offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), and from autumn 2026 the programme portfolio will expand to include the Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are now looking for a leader who can build on the solid foundation that has been established and continue to develop the school in line with IB values and national regulatory requirements.
About the Position
As Principal / Managing Director of Bodø International School, you will have overall responsibility for the school’s pedagogical, administrative, and strategic development. You will lead a young and growing organisation with high ambitions for quality, learning environment, and international standards.
The school is approved by the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training as a full international primary and lower secondary school (Grades 1–10) within the International Baccalaureate framework, with capacity for up to 220 students.

Bodø International School (BOINT) is organised as a non-profit foundation based in Bodø. The school was established by Bodøregionens Utviklingsselskap (BRUS) and Bodø Næringsforum, representing a unified regional business community with more than 600 member companies. The owners actively support and facilitate the development of BOINT as an important contributor to the Bodø region’s attractiveness and international competitiveness.

About the School
Bodø International School is a small, newly established international school with students from Grades 1 to 6. The school has four staff members and is located in Building 3 at Mørkvedmarka School. We are a candidate school for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and work within an international curriculum and framework where inquiry-based learning and international mindedness are central.
We emphasise a warm, inclusive, and values-based learning environment where curiosity, mutual respect, and critical thinking form the foundation for students’ development.
Teaching and communication at the school are primarily conducted in English, and staff members must be proficient in both spoken and written English.
